Veneers, crowns & bridges

For teeth that need more extensive repairs, we offer high-quality veneers, crowns and bridges. These restorations are both functional and aesthetic and blend perfectly with natural teeth.

Restorative dentistry plays a significant role in rebuilding both function and aesthetics. At Alpine Smiles, we offer veneers, crowns, bridges, and partial restorations such as onlays and inlays. Each solution is chosen according to clinical need, long-term durability, and the natural appearance of the final result.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made porcelain or composite shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth. They are suitable for restoring:

  • Worn or chipped enamel
  • Discolouration
  • Minor spacing or alignment issues

Porcelain veneers closely replicate the translucency of natural enamel and often form part of a broader aesthetic plan that may include whitening or orthodontics.

Crowns

A dental crown fully covers a damaged tooth, restoring strength, function, and appearance. Crowns may be recommended when a tooth is significantly weakened by decay, previous restorations, or fractures.

Types of crowns:

  • Full ceramic crowns: natural appearance, ideal for front teeth
  • Metal-ceramic crowns: reinforced structure with an aesthetic outer layer

Treatment process:

Crowns typically require two visits

01

Tooth preparation and digital scanning

02

Placement and bonding of the custom-made crown

03

Careful daily cleaning around the gumline is essential to maintain long-term success.

The number of visits depends on the complexity of the case and the number of channels involved, with molars often requiring multiple appointments.

Bridges

A dental bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring a customised prosthetic to the adjacent teeth.Bridges restore function, prevent drifting of neighbouring teeth, and provide a natural appearance.

Treatment summary:
  • Suitable when the adjacent teeth are strong
  • Requires thorough cleaning under the pontic
  • Typically completed in two visits
  • Can last 15 years or longer with proper maintenance

Onlays and Inlays

These restorations—often called partial crowns—are used when a tooth requires more than a filling but less than a full crown.

Benefits:
  • Preserve healthy tooth structure
  • Provide strength and stability
  • Achieve a highly accurate, customised fit
  • Blend seamlessly with your natural teeth (when porcelain orcomposite is used)
  • Materials include porcelain, composite resin, or gold, depending on clinical indication and patient preference.
