Veneers (porcelain & composite)
The veneers, available in both porcelain and composite, correct a series of aesthetic problems such as gaps or deformed teeth, giving you an impeccable and lasting smile.

Dental veneers in Lugano
Dental veneers are one of the most effective ways to enhance the appearance of your smile while maintaining a natural and balanced look. Veneers are thin custom-made restorations placed on the front surface of the teeth to improve colour, shape, symmetry and proportions.
At Alpine Smiles in Lugano, veneers are planned digitally and individually designed according to each patient’s facial features, bite, and aesthetic goals. Our aim is always to achieve a result that looks natural, harmonious and long-lasting.
What can veneers correct?
Dental veneers are commonly used to improve:
- Discoloured teeth that do not respond well to whitening
- Small gaps between teeth
- Minor chips or worn edges
- Uneven tooth shapes or sizes
- Mild crowding or irregular alignment
- Teeth that appear too short or disproportionate
For some patients veneers are part of a complete smile design, while for others they are used to improve one or two teeth.
Composite Veneers
Composite veneers are a more conservative and affordable alternative for improving the appearance of the teeth. In many cases they require minimal preparation of the natural tooth structure.
They can be applied using different techniques, including direct layering or injection moulding, depending on the clinical situation.
The process usually involves:
- Consultation and smile evaluation
- Digital scan and aesthetic planning
- Mock-up preview of the proposed result
- Preparation and fabrication of the veneers
- Final placement and adjustment
Optional recommended: Vivera retainer 890 CHF for nighttime protection.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are individually fabricated by specialised dental laboratories and are known for their excellent durability and natural light-reflecting properties. Because porcelain mimics natural enamel very closely, the result can appear highly natural.
The treatment process usually includes:
- Digital scan of the teeth
- Clinical photographs and smile analysis
- A digital or physical mock-up preview
- Precision fabrication by a dental laboratory
- Final placement and adjustment
All-inclusive: scans, photos, anaesthesia, radiographs and laboratory costs

With proper care, veneers can remain stable and aesthetic for many years.Con una corretta manutenzione, le faccette possono mantenere stabilità ed estetica per molti anni.
We recommend:
- Good daily oral hygiene
- Regular hygiene visits
- Periodic professional check-ups
Composite veneers may benefit from occasional polishing, while porcelain veneers typically require only routine maintenance.

Veneers consultation and smile evaluation
If you are considering porcelain veneers or composite bonding, we invite you to schedule a consultation at Alpine Smiles in Lugano or with us online.
During this visit, we perform a comprehensive aesthetic evaluation of your smile. This may include digital scans, clinical photographs and, if clinically indicated, radiographs. Together we review the findings on the screen and discuss possible treatment options, expected results and long-term considerations.
Depending on the individual situation, it may also be possible to create a quick aesthetic sketch or mock-up directly in the mouth to help visualise potential changes.
Diagnostic records such as scans, photographs or radiographs may be collected as part of the clinical assessment and treatment planning process. If you wish to receive or transfer this documentation for use outside Alpine Smiles, the preparation and export of the records may be subject to an administrative processing fee.
If treatment is carried out at Alpine Smiles, this administrative fee is typically waived.
