Veneers in Lugano, Ticino
Veneers are thin shells applied to the surface of teeth to improve shape, colour, or size, offering a transformative solution for an enhanced smile. At Alpine Smiles, we offer two main types of veneers: porcelain and composite, each with unique benefits.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are known for their high shine, durability, and minimal maintenance. Crafted by hand by expert technicians, these veneers use premium materials like feldspathic ceramics or E-max for a natural and lasting appearance. The process involves an initial scan and photos of your teeth, followed by a try-in session with a guide, allowing you to review and shape your final look alongside our technicians. Typically, porcelain veneers last 10-15 years with good oral hygiene, making them an excellent long-term investment.
Cost: 1,790 CHF per tooth, including all scanning, photos, anaesthesia, x-rays and necessary lab work.
Composite Veneers
Composite veneers are a popular, more affordable option that delivers beautiful aesthetics. Unlike porcelain, composite veneers often don’t require tooth reduction, making them a more conservative choice. Can be crafted either using the Injection Mould Technique with G-ænial® Universal Injectable or freehand application, depending on the case and goals. Composite veneers generally require more maintenance than porcelain, lasting around 4-7 years with good care, and are ideal for patients seeking a quick and effective smile enhancement.
Cost: 790 CHF per tooth, with optional Vivera retainers at 890 CHF to protect and maintain the results.
Maintenance and Longevity
Both types of veneers require regular dental check-ups to maintain their appearance. Composite veneers may need occasional polishing to keep their shine, typically 1 time per year, while porcelain veneers usually maintain their gloss with minimal maintenance. At Alpine Smiles, we provide a 1-year guarantee on composite and a 2-year guarantee on porcelain veneers, provided patients maintain good oral hygiene and attend yearly check-ups.
